Full-Time Position

At EthicalDigital.ca we are looking for the right person who is:

  • An initiator: Not only do you work on assigned projects, you are not afraid to tackle tasks that will move the team forward.

  • Comfortable with tech: We will train you on the key tech we use in the business, but you are not afraid to try new digital tools. 

  • Flexible: The job duties change depending on the day, and you love the diversity.   

  • Good with grammar: We do a lot of writing around here so being able to write, proofread, and provide feedback is very helpful.

  • Empathetic and supportive: Building a business can be intense but we like to make sure we are facing challenges together.

  • Problem-solver: You’re used to digital challenges, and you’re not afraid to dive in and figure out new ways to solve a problem.

  • Knowledgeable: You have a good understanding of organization operations, and you are open to ideas from the team. 

  • Integrity and Confidentiality: Some of the information you’ll be handling is confidential and we’d like to keep it that way. :)

Here are some of the things you will be doing and what we are looking for:

  • You can produce high quality content efficiently, having received direction and instruction

  • You can read an academic article and translate the information into an engaging blog post that can be read by someone in Grade 3

  • You will be able to use your skills to craft engaging and accessible website pages, emails, paid search ads and other digital content

  • You are well-versed in English (written and spoken)

  • You will write content based on information provided by our valued clients, who work in a wide variety of fields

  • You are passionate about writing and providing quality content

  • You are digitally savvy and can easily adapt to new tools and technology

  • You will be part of a collaborative, high achieving, and remotely based team

  • You are a self-starter, have exceptional organizational skills, and can manage deadlines effectively

  • You have a university degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field

  • Other duties as assigned

This position will be funded through a federal government grant, and in order to meet their requirements, the successful candidate must be within following guidelines: 

  • 15 to 30 years of age at the start of the internship

  • a post-secondary graduate

  • a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or person granted refugee status in Canada

  • legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations

  • a first-time participant in a Youth Employment and Skills Strategy work experience program targeted at post-secondary graduates

Our goal is to train technical writers, so even if you don’t have experience with this specific type of writing, we’ll train you. If you have a love of writing, please apply!

The position can be based anywhere in Canada. Our team is working remotely until the end of COVID.
